A transtrochanteric fracture is present on the left femur, which was treated with osteosynthesis. Indications of complication in the coxofemoral articulation.

Transverse subtrochanteric fracture.

$Left femur with transtrochanteric fracture. Surgical treatment with osteosynthesis plate and five screws, four without involvement of cortical bone. The plate was broken antemortem and as a result a pseudoarthrosis had developed with severe consequences in the coxo-femoral joint.$
